Aerial tilt-shift photography

More fractal photography today. Flickr and Photobucket user BAlvarius (impossible to find his/her real name) takes low altitude aerial photographs using the "tilt-shift" technique. The latter allows to have an extremely short focal range, so the picture is blurred except in a thin slice perpendicular to the line of sight. Effectively, it makes the scene look tiny. Strangely enough, this technique subjectively enhances the fractal features of the valleys and drainages BAlvarius photographs. I recommend the albums Desert arteries and Tilt shift aerial photographs on Photobucket, as well as the Flickr sets Tilt shift aerial photographs and Drainages.

Here is a group on Flickr about tilt-shift photography, and here is a tilt-shift video of Swiss trains.
